Biography:

Jason Statham was born on July 26, 1967 in Sydenham, London, England. He began his career after being spotted by the agency Sports Promotions. He then became a model for the clothing brand French Connection afterwards.

His film debut was in Guy Ritchie’s 1998 film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The film was well-received and it helped him gained some notice.

In 2002, he gained further prominence for his lead role in the action film The Transporter. He reprised his role in the film’s sequels, Transporter 2 and Transporter 3.

Other film work includes Snatch, The Italian Job and Killer Elite, among others.
