Biography:

Jason Momoa was born on August 1, 1979 in Honolulu, Hawaii but was raised in Iowa, USA. At the age of 19, he returned to Hawaii where he was discovered by international designer Takeo Kikuchi. Shortly after, his modeling career was launched.

In 1999, he starred as Jason Ioane in the action drama series Baywatch Hawaii. He also portrayed the title character in the 2011 remake of Conan the Barbarian and appeared in the 2013 film Bullet to the Head.

His television roles include Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis and Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones.
