Guillaume Canet is a French actor. His acting career started in the 1990s. After years of acting on the French screen, he had his Hollywood debut playing the role of Étienne in Danny Boyle’s 2000 film The Beach. He next had starring roles in the movies The Day the Ponies Come Back, Love Me If You Dare, and Hell, among others. He continued his work in France, mostly starring in French feature films during the 2000s and 2010s. Canet ventured into writing and directing with the film Tell No One. For his work here, he won the César Award for Best Director.
