Biography:

Freida Pinto was born on October 18, 1984 in Mumbai, India. She worked as a model and television presenter. She also acted in plays while attending college.

She then enrolled at the Barry John’s Acting Studio in Mumbai to study acting. In 2008, she rose to prominence when she landed the role of Latika in Slumdog Millionaire.

Her performance was critically-acclaimed and she won the Breakthrough Performance Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Since then, she has appeared in British-Indian and Indian-American productions such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Immortals and Trishna.
