Erin Moriarty was born on June 24, 1994 in New York, US. After high school, she decided not to go to college to focus on her acting career. She made her screen debut on television when she appeared in six episodes of the soap opera One Life to Live. Her next role was on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit where she appeared as a guest star. By 2012, she had made her film debut in The Watch.
Her first main role on television came in 2013 when she was cast for the role of Natalie on Red Widow. The series, however, didn’t last long and was cancelled after a season. She next played a recurring role, Audrey Hart, on True Detective. She became further known among audiences after joining the main cast of Jessica Jones. In addition, she had starred in the movie The Kings of Summer.
