Biography:

Ed Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991 in Halifax, England. At the age of 17, he moved to London to pursue a musical career. In 2011, he released an independent EP, No. 5 Collaborations Project, which caught the attention of Elton John and Jamie Foxx.

He was subsequently signed to Asylum Records. Also in 2011, he released his debut album, +, which contains the songs “The A Team” and “Lego House”.

In 2012, he garnered two BRIT Awards for Best British Male and British Breakthrough. That same year, he gained recognition in the US when he made a guest appearance in Taylor Swift’s fourth album Red and wrote songs for One Direction.
