David Caruso is an American actor. His career started in the late 1970s. The following decade, he had his first starring role as Shamrock Leader Tommy Mann on the TV series Hill Street Blues. During this period, he had performances in the films Without Warning, An Officer and a Gentleman, Thief of Hearts, and China Girl, among others. In the 1990s, he starred as Detective John Kelly on NYPD Blue, winning him a Golden Globe for Best Actor. At the same time, he had roles in the films Kiss of Death and Jade, to name a few. He is, however, best known for his role as Lieutenant Horatio Caine on CSI: Miami.
