Courtney B. Vance
Courtney B. Vance is an American actor. His Hollywood career spans decades since the 1980s. In 1987, he made his cinematic debut in the film Hamburger Hill. In the 1990s, he landed roles in the films The Hunt for Red October, The Adventures of Huck Finn, Beyond the Law, Panther, and Dangerous Minds. He then received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Male Lead for his role in 1998’s Blind Faith.
In the 2000s, he became best known for starring as A.D.A. Ron Carver in A.D.A. Ron Carver. He later played the part of Russell Banfield in ER and Stanford Wedeck in FlashForward. He also had performances in the films Space Cowboys, Nothing but the Truth, and Hurricane Season. He went on to star in the movies Extraordinary Measures, Final Destination 5, Terminator Genisys, and The Mummy, among others. In 2016, he starred as Johnnie Cochran in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, which won him the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor.
