Biography:

Prateik Babbar was born on 28 November 1986 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Prior to his acting career, he worked as a production assistant. He also previously appeared in television ads. In 2008, he made his cinematic debut in the Hindi film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. For his performance, he received Filmfare nominations for Best Male Debut and Best Supporting Actor.

In the 2010s, he had performances in the films Dhobi Ghaat, Dum Maro Dum, and My Friend Pho. He next starred in Ekk Deewana Tha and Issaq. He went on to venture into Bengali cinema with 2014’s Auroni Taukhon. His next Bengali role was in 2017’s Aroni Tokhon. The following year, Babbar had performances in the Bollywood films Baaghi 2, Mulk, Mitron, and Chhichhore. In 2019, he made his Tamil debut in Darbar. He’s currently filming Mumbai Saga.
