Colton Haynes was born on July 13, 1988 in Wichita, Kansas, USA. He started his career as a model, appearing in ad campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch. He began acting after relocating to Los Angeles.

He first appeared in an uncredited role in the movie Transformers. He then made appearances in such television shows as CSI: Miami, Privileged, and Pushing Daisies before starring as Scott Holland in the TV film Always and Forever.

In 2011, he gained recognition for his role as Jackson Whittemore in the series Teen Wolf. He then went on to star as Roy Harper in the series Arrow.
