Brenton Thwaites

Brenton Thwaites was born on 10 August 1989 in Cairns, Australia. He first aspired to become a policeman or a firefighter. He eventually decided he wanted to act after being interested in the filmmaking process. He first acted at age 16 on the stage. He graduated from Queensland University of Technology. In 2010, he made his acting debut in the movie Charge Over You.

He then became known among for his role as Luke Gallagher on the Australian teen drama series SLiDE. He next became known for playing Stu Henderson on the Australian soap opera Home and Away. In 2012, he starred as Dean McMullen on the American TV movie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening. He’s also appeared in the films Maleficent as Prince Phillip, Son of a Gun, and Gods of Egypt. He will star in the upcoming film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales as Henry Turner.
