Bill Pullman

Bill Pullman was born on December 17, 1953 in Hornell, New York, U.S. He started his career in the theater during the 1980s. In 1986, he made his cinematic debut with the film Ruthless People. He later gained notice for his roles in the movies Spaceballs and The Accidental Tourist. In the 1990s, he attracted attention for starring in the films Sleepless in Seattle, While You Were Sleeping, Casper, Independence Day, Lost Highway, and Lake Placid.

The following decade, Pullman starred in the films Igby Goes Down, The Grudge, and Scary Movie 4, among others. He also starred in several television movies during this period, as well as starred in the miniseries Revelations. In the 2010s, he became more active on the small screen, playing Oswald Danes in BBC’s Torchwood: Miracle Day and President Dale Gilchrist in NBC’s 1600 Penn. Since 2017, he stars as Detective Harry Ambrose in The Sinner. To add, he starred in the films The Equalizer, American Ultra, and Independence Day: Resurgence.
