Beth Dover was born on August 29, 1978 in Los Angeles, USA. In 1991, she made her acting debut in an episode of Welcome Freshmen. She became more active in the 2000s, landing many guest roles on television. It was also during this period that she made her cinematic debut in the 2002 film G. Her first notable role came as Nurse Beth/Melinda Waller in the television series Childrens Hospital.

She next starred as Lexie in the comedy series Burning Love from 2012 to 2013. She later played Sadee Deenus in the comedy show Newsreaders, as well as appeared as Morgan in Chasing Life. The actress gained wider recognition for her role as Linda Ferguson in the acclaimed series Orange Is the New Black. At the same time, she joined the cast of the sitcom Another Period as Blanche.
