Hollywood star Ana Ortiz first appeared in the 1995 film Condition Red. She later played a small role in the 1999 TV film Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman: The Movie. In 2001, she had her first starring role on TV, as Santa Clemente in the NBC sitcom Kristin. She then guest-starred in Everybody Loves Raymond, Strong Medicine, and ER before starring as Ana Rivera in the short-lived series A.U.S.A. During this period, Ortiz also had roles in the films Mr. St. Nick and Carolina.

In 2005, she played recurring roles Anna in Over There and A.D.A. Holly Raines in Boston Legal. She then gained wider recognition for starring as Hilda Suarez in the popular series Ugly Betty. During this period, she also acted in the films Tortilla Heaven and Labor Pains. After playing the role of Lydia in HBO’s Hung, she became further known for her role as Marisol Suarez in Devious Maids.

At the same time, she guest-starred in How to Get Away with Murder and Revenge. She even had a recurring role in Marry Me. Ortiz is also a voice actress who played Rafa in Elena of Avalor. In 2017, she played Dr. Mary Hernandez in The Mindy Project. Recently, she starred as Susan Sampson in Whiskey Cavalier. She’ll star in the upcoming show Love, Victor. In addition, the actress has also appeared in the films Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, Such Good People, and The Keeping Hours, to name a few.

Ana Ortiz is conscious with her food choices because she wants to keep her body as healthy and fit as she possibly could. She works out on a regular basis and she also eats healthily prior her workout, even if it’s just a snack. “I need to eat before a workout. If I exercise in the morning, I’ll have a little oatmeal, cereal, or a hard-boiled egg with toast. If I go in the afternoon, I’ll eat a turkey sandwich with cheese for lunch,” said the actress.
