Amruta Subhash is an Indian actress. She started her career acting on plays. In 2000, she made her screen debut in the TV series Zoka. Later in 2004, she had her first movie role in the Marathi film Shwaas. She went on to have performances in many other films, including the Hindi-language features Firaaq and Contract. At the same time, she had performances in the Marathi films Valu, Vihir, and Gandha. Her role in the 2015 Marathi film Astu garnered her acclaim, for which she won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. After more roles in Marathi movies, Subhash got cast for roles in the Hindi films Raman Raghav 2.0 and Spaghetti 24×7. Meanwhile, for her performance in the Hindi film Gully Boy, the actress won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
