Biography:

Alexa Vega was born on August 27, 1988 in Miami, Florida, USA. She moved with her family to California at the age of four.

She starred as young Jo Harding in the 1996 film Twister. She then guest starred in several television shows, including ER, Ghost Whisperer and The Bernie Mac Show.

Her breakthrough came in 2001 when she played the role of Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids. The first Spy Kids film became very successful that it spawned two more sequels – Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.
