Biography:

Vicky McClure was born on 8 May 1983 in Nottingham, England. At age 15, she auditioned for a role in the 1999 film A Room for Romeo Brass. She succeeded and got the part of Ladine Brass, marking her cinematic debut. The following year, she had her first TV appearance in an episode of Doctors. Later, she had performances in the feature films This Is England and Filth and Wisdom.

In 2010, she starred as Lorraine “Lol” Jenkins in the miniseries This Is England ’86, gaining her a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress. She reprised her role in This Is England ’88. Since 2012, she stars as DC/DS/DI Kate Fleming in the BBC series Line of Duty. At the same time, she had roles in the movies Svengali, Hummingbird / Redemption, and Convenience. She also reprised her role as Lorraine “Lol” Jenkins in This Is England ’90.
