Biography:

Sibel Kekilli was born on June 16, 1980 in Heilbronn, Germany. In 2002, she was spotted by a casting director while at a Cologne shopping mall, who invited her to audition for a film.

She then won the leading role in Fatih Akın’s feature Head-On. The movie was released in 2004 and was commercially and critically successful, instantly making her a star.

She also gained acclaim in 2006 for her performance in Eve Dönüş, for which she won the Best Actress Award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. She then gained mainstream fame worldwide after being cast as Shae in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
