Biography:

Rya Kihlstedt was born on July 23, 1970 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S.. She attended Skidmore College where she finished a degree in Theater Arts. Following her graduation, she officially started her acting career. In 1993, she made her cinematic debut in Arctic Blue. She also made her first television appearance on TriBeCa. She later had a role in the film Hudson River Blues.

She became further known for playing one of the villains in Home Alone 3. She also had a role in the disaster movie Deep Impact. On the small screen, she starred on the made-for-television movies Brave New World and She Creature. She became more recognized for playing Dr. Michelle Ross on Dexter in 2011. She next appeared as Marilyn Rhodes on Nashville. From 2015 to 2016, she starred as Erica Kravid on Heroes Reborn.
