Rishi Kapoor is an Indian actor who’s primarily worked in Hindi films. His first role was in the 1970 film Mera Naam Joker, which won him the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. His performance in the 1973 film Bobby won him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He starred in several other films during this period, getting a Filmfare nomination for his work in 1979’s Sargam.
In the 1980s, he became best known for his performances in the films Prem Rog, Bade Dil Wala, and Duniya. Later in 1989, he starred in the film Chandni and was nominated for Best Actor. He remained one of the most prolific actors in India during the 1990s and 2000s. In 2010, his performance in the film Do Dooni Chaar earned him the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. More recently, he starred in 2016’s Kapoor & Sons where he was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
