Biography:

Rashami Desai was born on 13 February 1986 in Nagaon, Assam, India. She debuted in 2002, initially acting in local films, such as in the Assamese movie Kanyadaan. Later in 2004, she made her Bollywood debut in the Hindi film Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke. From 2006 to 2008, she starred in the Zee TV drama series Raavan. In the 2010s, she became best known for starring in the soap opera Uttaran.

In 2012, she made a cameo appearance in the Bollywood film Dabangg 2. She went on to make her Gujarati debut in the romantic thriller film Superstar. Desai has also competed in some reality shows, such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 and Nach Baliye 7 where she finished second to both programs. She recently competed in Bigg Boss 13 and finished as 3rd runner-up.
