Biography:

Nicole Beharie was born on January 3, 1985 in West Palm Beach, Florida, U.S.. She studied drama at Juilliard School. She later trained in England after receiving a Shakespeare scholarship. In 2008, she started her professional acting career by making her debut in the movie American Violet. That same year, she had also appeared in the film The Express.

In 2009, she made her first television appearance in an episode of Three Rivers. She next appeared on the TV movie Sins of the Mother. Afterwards, she had a 2-episode role on The Good Wife. In 2011, she had roles in two films: My Last Day Without You and Shame. From 2013 to 2016, she gained mainstream recognition for starring as Abbie Mills on the television series Sleepy Hollow.
