Biography:

Misha Collins was born on August 20, 1974 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. After high school, he enrolled at University of Chicago where he studied social theory. He began his acting career in the late 1990s with guest roles in Legacy and Charmed. In 2002, he played a recurring role, as Alexis Drazen in 24, followed by another recurring character in ER.

His breakthrough came in 2008 after landing the role of Castiel in the long-running series Supernatural. He started off as a recurring cast but was promoted to being a regular character in the subsequent seasons. This is his most famous role to date. As a film actor, he has appeared in the movies Girl, Interrupted, Karla, and Loot.
