Michael Trevino

Mexican-American actor Michael Trevino had his career beginnings in the mid-2000s. When he was just starting, he mostly had made guest appearances in several shows. This includes Summerland, Charmed, and many others. He also appeared in the TV movie Cow Belles. His first notable role was as Brent in The Riches. He later had recurring roles in the shows Cane and 90210. It was, however, his role as Tyler Lockwood in The Vampire Diaries that made him widely known.

He was part of the show’s main cast from seasons 1-6. He returned to the subsequent seasons as a recurring character. He reprised his role in two episodes of the spin-off The Originals. His role on the show also earned him Teen Choice Award nominations While on the show, he made his big screen debut in the 2011 movie The Factory. This year, he starred in the Chinese feature film Out of Control.

The actor maintains his ripped physique not only by working out vigorously but also practicing proper nutrition. In an interview years ago, the television star talked about the physical transformation his character in The Vampire Diaries had gone through and how he changed his diet to achieve a bulkier look. As we all know, changing one’s physique isn’t just about the workouts. You also need to be careful of what you eat. Michael said:

“I just upped my cardio a bit and, with the diet, I just watched what I ate a lot more. Especially when it got down to a week before we were shooting. And while we were shooting I made sure to just eat apples and bananas and have a protein shake. I didn’t want to have anything too much. Not that it wasn’t going to look like I was physically cut but I didn’t want to go through what I was going through on a full stomach. So I would just snack throughout the day on both days. Small little snacks every now and then. I didn’t want to feel full or uncomfortable.”
