Michael Michele

Hollywood star Michael Michele had her career beginnings in the late 1980s. In 1988, she debuted in an episode of 1st & Ten. Later in 1990, she made her cinematic debut in the film Def by Temptation. The rest of the decade saw her performing in the films New Jack City, The 6th Man and The Substitute 2: School’s Out. During this period, she starred as Holly Williams in the CBS series Dangerous Curves.

She next played recurring character Sandra Gil in New York Undercover, as well as starred as Nikki Sheridan in Central Park West. Michele became further known for her role as Detective Rene Sheppard in Homicide: Life on the Street. The actress also garnered popularity for her role as Dr. Cleo Finch in ER. In 2000, she reprised her role as Detective Rene Sheppard in the TV movie Homicide: The Movie.

From 2004 to 2005, she starred as Jessie Gray in the TV series Kevin Hill. Also in the 2000s, she had performances in the movies Ali, Dark Blue, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. In the 2010s, she first appeared as Jane in some episodes of Gossip Girl. She went on to star as Ayanna Floyd in the musical drama series Star. She played Darlene Sutton in the TV drama Queen Sugar as well. As of 2019, she stars as Dominique Deveraux in the soap opera Dynasty, a reboot of the primetime drama of the same name.

At age 54, Michael Michele stays in shape not by following strict diets but by eating in moderation at all times. That and by avoiding meat. “I love food. I’ve not had meat for 15 years. I love cheese, bread, wine, champagne, pasta,” said the actress. “I don’t think I’ll ever diet. If I want a piece of pecan pie, I’ll have it. If I’d like a chocolate eclair, I’ll have it. It’s everything in moderation. I think food is one of the wonderful joys of life.”
