Chris Parnell is an American actor. His Hollywood career started in the mid-1990s. During this period, he had guest appearances in some shows and small roles in films. His break came later in 1998 after he joined the regular cast of the sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live. Simultaneously, his film career became more prolific with roles in The Ladies Man, Down with Love, and National Lampoon’s Barely Legal. He also played Garth Holliday in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. He later starred in the movies I’m Reed Fish, The Grand, Hot Rod, and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. From 2006 to 2013, he also became known for his portrayal of Dr. Leo Spaceman in 30 Rock. He also played Fred Shay in the comedy-drama series Suburgatory.
