Biography:

Matthew Perry was born on August 19, 1969 in Williamstown, Massachusetts, U.S.. He grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, but left for Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He made his acting debut in 1979 in an episode of 240-Robert. His first regular role was as Chazz Russell in the sitcom Second Chance from 1987 to 1988.

His breakthrough came in 1994 after being cast as Chandler Bing in Friends, playing the role until 2004. His performance in Friends had earned him Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie. He has also gained fame for roles in the films The Whole Nine Yards, The Whole Ten Yards, 17 Again, as well as in the TV movie The Ron Clark Story.
