Biography:

Mahira Khan was born on 21 December 1984 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. She moved to the US to study. She enrolled at the University of Southern California, but did not complete her degree and decided to return to Pakistan. In 2006, she made her screen debut as a VJ for the live show Most Wanted on MTV Pakistan. She went on to host the show Weekends with Mahira.

In the 2010s, she started acting in movies. Her debut was Bol, released in 2011. It was a commercial success in Pakistan. She made her television debut on the show Neeyat. This was followed by other Pakistani shows Humsafar and Shehr-e-Zaat. In 2015, she starred in the Pakistani romantic drama film Bin Roye. She will star in the India feature film Raees. This will be her Bollywood debut as well.
