Lexa Doig was born on June 8, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She started her career at age 16 when she appeared in commercials and received modeling jobs.
Her first television appearance was in The Hidden Room. She has since appeared in other shows including a recurring role in TekWar: TekLords and TekWar, as Dr. Carolyn Lam in Stargate SG-1, and guest roles in Supernatural and Smallville.
She became known for her title character in the series Andromeda. Additionally, she starred as Rowan LaFontaine in the 2002 film Jason X, the 10th installment of Friday the 13th film series.
