Katie Holmes

It was in 1997 that American actress Katie Holmes had her career start. She did so with the movie The Ice Storm. The following year, she became further known for starring in the movie Disturbing Behavior. It was also around this time that she became a television staple courtesy of her role as Joey Potter in Dawson’s Creek. She earned many Teen Choice nominations for her role here. While starring on television, she also became prolific on the big screen. She had her first lead role in the movie Teaching Mrs. Tingle. In the 2000s, she starred in the films Wonder Boys, Abandon, The Gift, Phone Booth, Pieces of April, and First Daughter. She next played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins. In the 2010s, she portrayed Jackie Kennedy in the miniseries The Kennedys. She played the role again in The Kennedys: After Camelot. She also starred in Logan Lucky.

The 39-year-old actress stays in shape by sticking to a healthy diet and an active lifestyle. She loves getting herself into physical challenges. For instance, she trained extensively to run for the New York City Marathon. The A-list actress also burns her calories by dancing. Her stint on Broadway is a proof that Katie is a great dancer. Dancing is great not only for burning calories, but also for establishing balance, cardiovascular stamina, and core strength.

Moreover, the actress stays active not just by hitting the gym to work out. She also enjoys taking long walks. In fact, she gives herself more reasons to walk. Exercising is also her way of keeping her skin healthy. She also got candid about her fitness routine in an interview. She said: “Every day is a little bit different, but I still really try to get my a.m. workout done before I have to go to work or do everything else I have to get done that day. My favorites are cycling, running, and yoga—I try to do a variety and keep things interesting.”
