Katie Chang was born in 1995 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. She first gained recognition after being cast as Rebecca Ahn in Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring.

The movie chronicles the actual break-ins of Hollywood celebrities by a group of California teenagers. The film was shot when she was just 16. Her performance received much acclaim after the movie’s release.

After her role in The Bling Ring, she starred in the 2013 film Birder’s Guide to Everything alongside Kodi Smit-McPhee and Ben Kingsley. She also landed a supporting role in the upcoming Tim Blake Nelson’s Anesthesia.
