Biography:

Kacey Musgraves was born on August 21, 1988 in Mineola, Texas, United States. She began her musical career in 2008 after she was discovered by an independent record label, Triple Pop, for whom she released two singles, “Apologize” and “See You Again”.

She went on to compete in the USA Network’s singing contest Nashville Star in 2007, for which she finished seventh. In 2012, she signed with Mercury Records and released her solo debut single “Merry Go Round”.

The song is included in her album, Same Trailer Different Park, released on March 19, 2013. She was then nominated for four Grammy Awards at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards including Best New Artist and Best Country Album.
