Biography:

Jun Ji-hyun was born on 30 October 1981 in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to her acting career, she worked as a model and was first photographed for Ecole Magazine in 1997. The following year, she made her debut as an actress in the TV drama Fascinate My Heart. She later made her first film role in 1999’s White Valentine. Jun’s breakthrough was in the 2001 film My Sassy Girl.

She has since starred in the Korean films The Uninvited, Windstruck, Daisy, and A Man Who Was Superman. She was also the lead star in the movie Blood: The Last Vampire. On television, she found fame again with a lead role in the romantic fantasy drama My Love from the Star. After this, she played the female lead in Legend of the Blue Sea. She recently played the title role in Netflix’s Kingdom: Ashin of the North.
