Jamie Bamber was born on 3 April 1973 in Hammersmith, London, England, U.K.. He attended St John’s College, Cambridge, where he finished his degree. He then got his acting training from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In 1998, he made his television debut in 5 episodes of Hornblower. He next played 2nd Lt. Jack Foley on the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.

He next starred as Dr. Matt Kendal on Peak Practice. His next role was as Lt. Dennis “Dotsy” Doheny on Ultimate Force. He also starred on the miniseries Daniel Deronda. He became known for his starring role as Lee ‘Apollo’ Adama on the TV series Battlestar Galactica. After this ended, he starred as DS Matt Devlin on Law & Order: UK. His most recent acting role was on the show Marcella.
