Biography:

Justin Hartley was born on January 29, 1977 in Knoxville, Illinois, U.S.. After graduating from high school, he attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He later enrolled at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he majored in theater and history. In 2002, he made his screen debut on the soap opera Passions where he played a starring role.

After Passions, he landed the role of Oliver Queen or the Green Arrow on Smallville. He also landed the lead on the pilot Aquaman, which wasn’t picked by its network. In the late 2000s, he appeared in the films Red Canyon and Spring Breakdown. After Smallville, he landed a main role on the short-lived medical series Emily Owens, M.D.. He went on to have recurring roles on Revenge and Mistresses. He now stars as Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless.
