Hera Hilmar is an Icelandic actress. Her acting career started in the late 2000s. She made her debut in the Icelandic film Two Birds. After spending a few years on a break, she appeared in the miniseries World Without End. She then ventured outside of Iceland, performing in the films Anna Karenina and The Fifth Estate. Her first notable role on television was as Vanessa Moschella in the series Da Vinci’s Demons. She played a recurring character from seasons 1-3. She later starred in the films Get Santa, Life in a Fishbowl, The Oath, An Ordinary Man, and The Ottoman Lieutenant. This year, she starred in the movies The Ashram and Mortal Engines.
