Biography:

Greta Gerwig was born on August 4, 1983 in Sacramento, California. She attended Barnard College where she studied English and philosophy. In 2006, she was cast in Joe Swanberg’s LOL, while still attending Barnard.

Her breakthrough came in 2010 when she was cast as Florence Marr in the film Greenberg, for which she got several nominations, including an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead.

She has since appeared in such films as Northern Comfort, The Dish & the Spoon, No Strings Attached, Damsels in Distress and Arthur, among others.
