Ella Hunt was born on 29 April 1998 in Devon, England. In 2011, she started her professional acting career, playing the role of Ella Foster in the film Intruders. After this, she played a small role in the movie Les Misérables. Her next role was in the 2014 feature film Robot Overlords.

Between 2016 and 2017, the actress portrayed the character Ellie Marsden in the comedy-drama series Cold Feet. She next guest-starred in Endeavour.
