Biography:

Domhnall Gleeson was born on May 12, 1983 in Dublin, Ireland. His father is actor Brendan Gleeson. He attended Dublin Institute of Technology where he finished a degree in Media Arts. After his graduation, he began his career but as a director and writer for stage and film. He made his screen debut in a short film in 2005 and went on to appear in the movie Studs with his father.

In the next few years, he appeared in the films A Dog Year, Perrier’s Bounty, and gained recognition for his performance in 2010’s Never Let Me Go, followed by True Grit, his first American film. He then became further known for his role as Bill Weasley in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. He was then critically praised for his performance in 2015’s Ex Machina.
