Connie Nielsen is a Danish actress. She made her film debut in a French feature in the 1980s. Her first role in a Hollywood movie was in 1997’s The Devil’s Advocate. She has since worked in Hollywood with roles in the movies Permanent Midnight, Rushmore, and Mission to Mars. She gained further prominence for her role as Lucilla in Gladiator. The rest of the 2000s saw her star in the films One Hour Photo, Return to Sender, and Battle in Seattle. In the 2010s, she starred in Nymphomaniac, The Runner, and Stratton: First Into Action. She’s also recently starred as Hippolyta in Wonder Woman.
