English actor Charlie Hunnam began his acting journey in the late ’90s. Naturally, he started acting on the UK screen. His debut was on the British series Byker Grove. He next starred on the UK series Queer as Folk. In the early 2000s, he made his Hollywood debut in the thriller Abandon. He then starred on the American sitcom Undeclared. Around the same time, he played the titular role in the British-American movie Nicholas Nickleby. He next appeared in the movie Cold Mountain, followed by Children of Men. In the late 2000s, he became further known for this starring role on the TV series Sons of Anarchy. While on the show, he had roles in the films Pacific Rim and Crimson Peak. Some of his upcoming films are The Lost City of Z and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

Standing at 6’1, the 36-year-old actor is also known for his masculinity. Playing the leader of Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club on the show, he knew he needed to bulk up for his role. This he did successfully as he was even widely recognized for his role as Jax Teller. In order to play the role, his focus was getting lean and strong. The workout he underwent was not necessarily about being bulkier. It was also about getting cut. For this, he ate healthy and worked on his abs to achieve a chiseled-looking body.

Though the actor’s workouts were simple compared to others, it was still not easy. Charlie also said that his workouts got his endorphins going. In an interview, he said: “I go into the gym and do 75 pull-ups, 75 dips, 150 squats, 150 push-ups, and then 20 minutes of abs work. Done. It takes an hour. I’m in and out. I sweat the whole time.” He added: “I’ll do crunches, side crunches, leg lifts. I’ve probably got 20 different ab exercises that I cycle through regularly. I work my abs three or four times per week.”
