Carmen Ejogo is an English actress. She’s actually made her debut in the 1986 film Absolute Beginners. But she only pursued acting full-time a decade later. During the late ’90s, she appeared in the films Metro, I Want You, and The Avengers. In the 2000s, she played the title role on the TV film Sally Hemings: An American Scandal. She next portrayed Coretta Scott King on the TV movie Boycott. Her first starring role on a TV series was as Turner on Kidnapped. During the same period, she was also prolific on the big screen. She had roles in the films Perfume, What’s the Worst That Could Happen?, and The Brave One. In 2014, she was praised for her portrayal of Coretta Scott King in Selma. More recently, she starred in the films Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Alien: Covenant, and It Comes at Night.
