The album Glass Houses came next in 1980 with the popular single “It’s Still Rock & Roll to Me” — his first single to reach number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Throughout his career in 20 years as a solo artist, he made 33 songs that reached the Top 40 chart, which he wrote himself. He has since sold more than 150 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. His latest album release was Fantasies & Delusions in 2001.
