Sophie Lowe was born on June 5, 1990 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, UK. She studied acting at the McDonald College of Performing Arts. Her first television appearance was in the series Backyard Science.

She made her film debut with her role as Hayley in the short film Kindle. She went on to appear in two more short films He. She. It. and The Mirage. In 2009, she appeared in her first feature film, Beautiful Kate.

She has since starred in other movies including The Clinic, Road Train, After the Dark, and Two Mothers. She currently stars as Alice in the series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
