Rosamund Pike Workout Routine

Rosamund Pike

Academy Award-nominated actress Rosamund Pike is now part of Hollywood’s A-list. This is all thanks to her recent acclaimed performances and starring roles in prominent films. Beginning her acting journey on stage, she made a remarkable debut as Miranda Frost in Die Another Day. She next played supporting roles in The Libertine and Pride & Prejudice. She went on to star in the crime-thriller Fracture with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. The rest of the 2000s saw her star in An Education and Surrogates. In the 2010s, she had notable roles in Wrath of the Titans and played the female lead in Jack Reacher. Her major breakthrough was as the lead in the psychological thriller Gone Girl. She got an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for this.

Rosamund is a mother to two boys and is a busy actress. Despite this, she manages to take care of herself by eating right. She also maintains her healthy weight and toned body by sticking to her fitness plans. During the 2015 Oscars, it was apparent how the actress managed to lose weight and regain her lean body five weeks after giving birth to her second child. Her post-baby body is all thanks to her self motivation and personal trainer. During Gone Girl’s shoot, Rosamund had to gain weight and then lose weight again for her character.

For her to lose weight in only 10 days, she went through a “high intensity, plyometric workout”. This includes “running, burpees, squat jumps and many different variations of a plank”. After this, the actress trained some more, spending 4-5 days a week to work out. Her trainer focuses on functional strength rather than weight and Rosamund agrees with her. Her trainer was noted saying: “I don’t go off of weight unless it’s required, because I think it can make women, particularly actors, obsessive over something that is not the most important.”
