Paul Giamatti is an American actor. He has since ventured into producing. He started his acting career in the early ’90s. He debuted on the TV movie She’ll Take Romance. He next made his first movie role in Past Midnight. He made his breakthrough on the big screen as Kenny “Pig Vomit” Rushton in the 1997 movie Private Parts. That same year, he also had supporting roles in My Best Friend’s Wedding and Deconstructing Harry.
He later played Sergeant Hill in Saving Private Ryan. In the 2000s, he earned acclaim for his performances in the films American Splendor and Sideways. For his performance in Cinderella Man as Joe Gould, he received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. In 2010, he won a Golden Globe for his titular role in the film Barney’s Version. His latest film performances are in 12 Years a Slave, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and San Andreas, among others.
