Biography:

Michelle Fairley was born on January 17, 1964 in Coleraine, UK. She was a member of a youth theatre group during her teens. After completing her studies, she relocated to Belfast. Her professional acting career began on the British small screen with appearances in such TV shows as Saracen, Theatre Night, and Casualty. In 1995, she made a notable guest appearance in Inspector Morse.

In the late 1990s, she’s had regular roles in Safe and Sound, The Broker’s Man, and Births, Marriages and Deaths. In the 2010s, she came to international prominence for playing Catelyn Stark in Game of Thrones. She has since acted in some well-known TV series like Suits, 24: Live Another Day, and Resurrection. She recently played Sophie Baines in Crossing Lines.
