Biography:
Melinda Page Hamilton was born on August 22, 1974 in New York City, New York, USA. She attended Princeton University. Afterward, she studied at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University. Prior to her screen career, she performed in some theater productions. In 1997, she made her television debut in an episode of Law & Order. Her first recurring role on TV was as Sister Mary Bernard in Desperate Housewives.
Also in the 2000s, she had roles in the films Promised Land, Sleeping Dogs Lie, and Not Forgotten. She also played recurring character Malinda in HBO’s Big Love. Between 2008 and 2010, she also played Anna Draper in Mad Men. She later played Odessa Burakov in Devious Maids. More recently, Hamilton starred as Claire Telesco in How to Get Away with Murder. She currently stars as Anna Iguero in the new series Messiah.
