Dominic Monaghan

Dominic Monaghan was born on December 8, 1976 in Berlin, West Germany. His parents are British. He and his family left Germany and settled in England when he was about 11. In his later life, he attended Aquinas College where he studied English literature, drama and geography. Always wanting to be an actor, he pursued this early on and made his debut in the 1997 TV movie Hostile Waters.

Four years later, he got his breakthrough, playing Meriadoc Brandybuck in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. He had since reprised his role in the sequels The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, gaining him international recognition. After The Lord of the Rings, he played Charlie Pace on Lost, making him a household name. Since 2012, he stars on his own show called Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan.
