Brian Hallisay was born on October 31, 1978 in Washington, D.C., USA. Prior to becoming an actor, he first worked on Wall Street. In 2005, he began his acting career with guest appearances in The Inside and Strong Medicine. In the next few years, he landed guest spots in various TV shows, including Without a Trace, Cold Case, CSI: NY, Bones, Medium, and Bionic Woman.

From 2008 to 2009, he played Will Davis in Privileged, which was his first main role, though the series got cancelled after one season. Some years later, he received widespread recognition for playing the role of Kyle Parks in The Client List. The series was well-received, but ended after two seasons. Through the show, he met his future wife Jennifer Love Hewitt. In 2014, he played a recurring role in Mistresses and appeared as Ben Hunter in Revenge.
